Super start to Allan McKinstry competition
News Date 23/05/2024
Todays opening games had plenty to entertain the staunch supporter and neutral alike.  Game 1 between Whitchurch and St Francis' College went to penalties after a 1-1 conclusion.  In a shoot out in which every shot was on target Alex McEvoy emerged as the hero saving two of the ELEVEN penalties he faced to see St Francis' gain the extra point.

Game 2 was also tense with Redden Court taking a one goal lead before they managed to put clear space between themselves and Y Strade in the last 8 minutes by scoring two further goals.

The final game was also captivating with NI's Lurgan Junior High taking a one goal lead just before half time.  Shenfield had most of the game in the second half but did not pull level untilthe game entered it's last quarter and then firing the winner home with three minutes to go!

Roll on tomorrow's games.
