Following a very competitive encounter this evening in Athlone, Northern Ireland emerged as winners with a 2-1 scoreline over the lads from the Reublic. Michael Harkin put Northern lreland into the lead during the first minute of first half overtime before Hugh Parker put the scores level in the 72 minute.  Karter Bon delivered the killer blow with another late goal in the 86th minute.
