N Ireland win Victory Shield

Northern Ireland claimed the 2018 Victory Shield title after beating Wales 3-1 in their final match of the tournament. A 9th minute 25 yard strike from no.6 Orrin McLaughlin gave the North the lead which they doubled in the 40th minute with another well taken goal from no.13 Vicky Saldanha. In the second-half Wales pulled one back in the 56th minute with a goal from substitute no.9 Ryan Viggers. However the game was settled in the 4th minute off added time when a penalty was converted by Northern Ireland's no.10 Euan Williams with little time remaining for the Welsh to respond.
Final Score: Wales 1 Northern Ireland 3.

In the other final group match the Republic of Ireland missed a penalty in the dying minutes of game against Scotland with the game ending in a goal-less draw.
Final Score : Republic of Ireland 0 Scotland 0.
